The Phone-Order-Only Enrollments Thread Part II

The Phone-Order-Only Enrollments Thread Part II

Columbia House carries several DVD titles which are available for enrollment which, for unknown reasons, don't show up online on the Enrollment site and cannot be ordered for enrollment online by any means. Yet these titles are valid enrollments (they are no longer new releases). Therefore, they are available only by enrolling by phone (or by snail mail if you fill out a paper application).

This list should be pretty accurate. If there are any changes/additions that need to be made, please let me know.

I tried to order Sex and the City as an enrollment, but was informed by the CSR that it is not available as an enrollment because it was a box set. Strangely, the same CSR allowed Cirque du Soleil as an enrollment, which was also a box set. I wonder why the inconsistency with CH CSRs.

Cirque is not a box set. It is two seperate dvds strapped together with a plastic band. And I got the sex and the city season one as an enrollment within the last couple of weeks, so I'd say chances are that it is still available as an enrollment. (And, it is not really a box set either, technically speaking... )

I was just told about two weeks ago that I couldn't order Sex in the City Season One. I'll have to try again with a different CSR. Thanks for the tip.

Do you mean the four disc Extended Edition? That's not available for enrollment.

Does anyone know what happened to Emmanuelle - Double Feature? I was planning on fufilling with it, but it's gone.

These are the ONLY phone enrollments available? Kinda slim. Btw, I did a phone order (CVW) for the following:

Boogie Nights (2-Disc)
Almost Famous (Bootleg)
Cirque du Soleil: Dralion and Quidam
The World is Not Enough: SE
Rose Red

I have most of the other titles already from previous enrollments.

No, these are titles that you can only enrolled with over the phone as opposed to their website.

No, Lawrence of Arabia: LE is not available as an on-line enrollment, just as a phone enrollment. That's why D-Ball has it listed in this thread.

codecomplete,

If you take a look at previous Phone Only Enrollments (POEs), there were much more. It's been cut by about half I think.

Which means that a lot of titles are made available through the web so people don't have to go through the hassle of calling in. So I would think that people would be happier the smaller this list gets.

On the flip side, it's possible that a lot of titles were removed and are no longer available at all.

I think it's OOS and OOP, because Anchor Bay will be releasing a new box set with 3 french Emmanuelle titles later this year. For what it's worth, I think the double feature disappeared from the CH website about a month ago, and my data miner says the individual titles disappeared sometime last week. Even if CH picks it up, it won't be available for enrollment, unless Anchor Bay is also selling each title individually.

I think Traffik (2622504) is now Phone Only. It shows up at the member site, but is missing as an enrollment.

I was also denied on Sex and the City on a phone order yesterday. Has anyone successfully ordered it as an enrollment recently?

It looks like you're right Dmvee. It appears to be available, but it's not on the enrollment site.
