White Surrounds
I am thinking about buying these new Bose speakers in white to use as my rear surrounds.

I generally don't like Bose but these should be fine for surrounds. Anyone have any personal experience with this set yet? I just want something white, cosmetically attractive, good sounding and reasonbly priced. The BOSE 161's are $175 a pair.

I think that Energy and Paradigm make white speakers for use as surrounds, and I know that PSB does.
Sorry -- I have no experience with the Bose 161s.

Couldn't find any white Paradigms...

Sorry, no experience with the Bose speakers, but add Def Tech to the list of manufacturers that sell white surrounds. Back when I was shopping for a pair of BPXs, I saw a pair of the white ones, and I must say...black is the way to go

I guess I should have mentioned I am looking for a pair that can be eaisily mounted on the wall and angled down. That is why mst box designs won't work for me.

For hanging in the middle of a wall, white is a great choice. I had the Def Tech surrounds in black but the looked pretty f'ugly on the wall. I sold them and got the white ones. Much more esthetically pleasing especially against my white wallpaper.

PSB White Speakers
Look at the PSB Intro LR's -$190 per pair. White, small but with fantastic sound. I have them as front speakers as well with a PSB Subsonic 5 woofer. Magic, magic, magic!!

Look at the Pioneer Elite TZ-S700 surrounds. They come in white, and they have a wall-hanging system on the back. The MSRP sounds high, but they can be had for lots less (they're one of the "older" models. I'm using a pair as rear surrounds, and they sound pretty good.

I have Infinity qps-1 ( )
The Pioneers are excellent, they were designed be head acoustic engineer from Infinity, he was at KEF before that.
They are discontinued now and are a steal. They have a pivoting tweeter pod so you can aim the image.
People could just not get past the name- great speaker.
