I'm not sure HBO could have selected a less intriguing team... including Cleveland.

I don't know about that. Jamis is an interesting guy and on the brink of superstardom. I'm okay with this selection

The Rams. It was awful last year.

Just wished one day they would select a team with a big fanbase (Cowgirls not included).

Looking forward to the premiere tonight. I mainly subscribe to HBO for Hard Knocks and Game of Thrones. I was really hoping they would be covering the Titans this year though....

^ That would have been a good choice (though maybe they prefer to move around the Divisions a bit; they had the Texans on two years ago). Looking forward to this one as well.

Re: Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (HBO) -- premieres 8/8/1

I just watched last night's episode. It was pretty entertaining. Not a fan of the Bucs, but I enjoyed seeing and meeting a lot of their team.

I at Gerald McCoy's little boy sporting the big gold chain around his neck and talking trash to his Dad.

Loved when Koetter made the rookies sing in front of the entire team. and then Doug Martin pushed/swept away the guys who were terrible. The dude with mullet had some good singing chops.

Seems like they have a pretty stacked roster. I would be really surprised if they didn't make the playoffs this season.

End credits with the guys and team personnel talking about Game of Thrones was a nice touch to end it.

Better than last season so far. Gerald McCoy seems like a cool dude. I hate Dirk Koetter but nice to see an ASU helmet and Tillman jersey in his office.

Jameis Winston is somewhat likeable in this show though it is not a good sign if the coach wants you to be a game manager and avoid mistakes and let the defense win the game.

Maybe now I will avoid him in fantasy.

Did they get Gruden to appear since Koetter is so vanilla?

Probably the first time Hard Knocks might feature a team on the rise and in the beginning stages of becoming a really good team.

How much money did they get from HBO to promote Game of Thrones? I doubt the coaches watch the show.

I don't think they are going to sit back and let Winston be a game manager when you have DeSean Jackson on one side and Mike Evans on the other.

Yeah that sounds like a dumb idea to try to make him a game manager. Their offense is loaded. And Winston is a gunslinger.

He did throw a lot of Ints in 2016 and maybe Koetter wants to be conservative.

I totally forgot Grimes was on the Bucs now. I despise his wife. Jesus she is annoying as fuck

I wonder who is in charge of that household?

I liked what she said when Brett Grimes will not show his true personality if he does not know you and that is a quality she likes about him lol.

O.J. Howard was suppose to be their new stud rookie tight end but so far he has been mostly MIA except for one scene.

Re: Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (HBO) -- premieres 8/8/1

Aguayo missing those 2 FGs was a no brainer that he would get released. At least he got a new job right away.

I liked seeing Gerald McCoy's man cave.

I'm impressed with how well Jameis Winston carries himself. For a guy who is only in year 3, he carries himself like a seasoned 10 year veteran.

Cameo at the end from my colleague Will Selva at NFL network when we reported Aguayo's release and pickup by the Bears. The Bucs really do watch a lot of NFL network.

Re: Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (HBO) -- premieres 8/8/1

I'm not a fan of Jameis Winston due to numerous things he did at Florida State, but he sure seems like a great leader and funny guy. I didn't even know Ryan Fitzpatrick was with the Bucs. I thought I saw someone that looked like him in the previous episode and sure enough it was him.

Gerald McCoy seems like a great guy. I'm surprised that they haven't shown more of their young up and coming defenders Noah Spence and Vernon Hargreaves. Also, they haven't really showed Doug Martin or Lavonte David either. Maybe they will in the next few episodes.

Same here. My perception of the guy has changed quite a bit over the last two weeks.

is that a new fetish where McCoy wants to get punched by a superhero?

Winston had a good night vs the Jags last night.

I also forget to mention. Those cryotherapy recovery pods that they went in and were blasted with -220 degree cold temps were crazy. I don't know if I would go in one of those.

Did you see the game? He made one of the stupidest plays of his career even though it's preseason:

http://www.nfl.com/m/share?p=%2Fvide...red-zone-throw

Koetter pulled him after he did this and chewed him out. I'm looking forward to seeing this play out on episode 3 next week with Koetter dropping F bombs at him.

Well, he went 21-29 for 196 yards in a half, so I think good game is probably fair.

As for that play, agreed it was stupid, though he thought he had a free play. And he played two more series afterwards.

I guess he will rein it in now and that probably drops his fantasy value.
