Also started reading Mr. Mercedes, without knowing much about it (besides it's a suspense thriller by King). I'm not sure I would've started if I knew the details of the story. Way too much of that crap in the news to have it be part of my leisure reading as well.

I finally finished The Ringworld Throne by Larry Niven. I can't bring myself to reading any more of that series. Such a cool location to set a story, such a boring story to tell.
Started:
Stephen King - Under the Dome

I really enjoyed it. I was somewhat surprised to see the reviewers at Goodreads so divided on this one. Sure, one can nitpick the plotting. But in the end it was a taut ride that had me reading for longer periods than I planned (especially towards the end). I'm guessing the higher ratings for the next two in the series aren't so much because they're better but we've lost the reviewers who hated the first book (120,000 ratings for Mr. Mercedes, 60,000 for Finders Keepers, and 40,000 for End of Watch).

Since We Fell is really 2 different novels. The first 100 pages or so is very different from the last 2/3 of the book. I liked both parts, but I can see the argument that dropping the first 100 pages would make for a much tighter novel.
