Scooby Doo, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne and Fred will guest star next season.
No, this is not a joke. They are doing an animated episode next season with these characters.
Can't wait to see it.
Remember, 2 hour finale tonight

I finally gave up on the show halfway through this season, but I might catch the Scooby Doo episode.

Well, I am glad the season is over - and while not a fan I felt the final couple of eps at least TRIED to show a glimmer of the show's better days. Some decent moments in the final ep, and the setup for next season seems interesting, though any one who has watched Supernatural regularly knows not to assume anything (with regard to the fates/futures of certain characters).
Plus, I am a sucker for the old reliable Kansas/Wayward Son montage....

I wasn't enamored with this season but I thought it was still decent. Not sure why they seemed to habe such a hard on for killing characters though. I'm glad to see the last of the British Men of Letters and seeing Lucifer's son be fully born was creepy. I also don't believe that Cass is dead. Overall they have a lot of interesting ways they can go for next season so I'll be back. I'd give this season a 3.5/5

Interesting cliffhanger to end the season.
Creepy Lucifer's spawn is born
Mary and Lucifer trapped in that "other world"
and Castiel dead??
I wonder if they're planning to keep Mary (Samantha Smith) around for the foreseeable future. She doesn't have to be a regular. Popping in as a guest star every other episode works for me.
I am kind of glad this season is over. These 23 episodes felt like 43 episodes. But, after watching this long and never missing 1 episode, I'm in until the very end.

OK season overall but if Roweena is really gone for good, what a shitty sendoff for a long running character - killed off screen in a meaningless death? Hell, even Crowley's death was for nothing - I think they'll probably reverse all 3 of the big finale deaths but if the don't, I'm honestly MORE ok with Castiel being done than I am the other 2.

All of them will likely be fine. Cass has to be.
As for Roweena. I feel she has a backup like always.

The middle part of this season really dragged the rest of it down. The final third was great though. Even with it being pretty obvious that everyone will be alive, that was a great finale. I'd give the season a 7/10. It wasn't season 6/7 bad but it wasn't season 8/9 good either.
13 is a good number to end on though. I hope they consider putting this to rest next year. I'd imagine Jensen and Jared want to move onto other things at this point anyhow.

I thought it was understood that Jensen and Jared have basically moved their entire lives to Vancouver for the show and made it their permanent homes. They want Supernatural to run 30 seasons.
They've outlasted all the original staff and crew.

I say go forever...
don't care if they bring Crowley or Rowena back.
and I wouldn't mind a season without Cas.
but damn, it was nice to see Bobby again.

Nope, Jared's home is in Austin and Jensen lives in LA. A lot of the original crew is still with the show.
They are happy to do the show as long as the network wants them to. Jared and Jensen understand how much the show means to their hardcore fans.
Misha has already said "Castiel's story isn't finished" or something to that effect, so he will be back. Not sure about Ruth.
Mark (Crowley) has already said it's time to move on. He seems to be a little bitter about it. Creation Entertainment is the company that does most of the Supernatural Conventions around the country and Mark has said he will no longer do their conventions after the end of the year. That's surprising since he has a very large presence at them.
