New Rammstein?

I've been hearing this Living in America song a lot lately on my digital cable metal channel, I have all of their old albums but I just can't get into this song. How does their new album compare to their older ones? Is it worth running out to get asap? I'm not a die hard fan or anything, but I dig their other stuff, so I'm wondering.....

I've liked all of their cds, i'm looking forward to the new one even though i havent heard any songs yet.

I'm pretty sure the new one comes out here at the end of this month. Came out in Germany in September, but i figured i could wait a month, rather than importing it.

Oh I thought I read it was out already, guess they were talking about the germany release. Anyway, I guess I'll wait then Thanks for the player link, I can see what it's like now I already like that second song, Mein Teil. Seems like they're going for more of a thrashy sound instead of the technoy kinda stuff, which is cool with me

On allmusic.com there are two releases listed: Reise Reise and Amerika, both from Universal International and both out in 2004. No details are given, however. Does anyone know if Amerika is just the American version of Reise Reise or are they two separate releases?

RevLiver, I'm pretty sure that "Amerika" is the single while "Reise Reise" is the album title.

So if there's a release of Amerika, perhaps its a single (or super single or whatever else they may call it)?

So there you have it, RevLiver. As shown by darqleo's quality research ( ), it would appear that Amerika is the super single...or perhaps I should say UBER single. Hahahaha...ok so it's not funny.

I like the video for Amerika and how they're mocking the moon landing.

One of the things I appreciated about Rammstein was the lack of political commentary in their music. If I recall correctly, the band stated in an interview that actively avoid this. I guess those days are over.

harpo787, back in the day, singles with a ton of remixes were called maxi-singles. I don't think anyone uses that term anymore [or even includes so many remixes on a single].

We're all living in America
America is wonderful
we're all living in America
America
America

We're all living in America
America is wonderful
we're all living in America
America
America

When we dance I want to lead
when you turn yourself around alone
let us control you a bit
I'll show you how to walk right

We create a lovely round dance
the freedom plays from all violins
music comes from the White House
and in front of Paris stands Mickey Mouse

We're all living in America
America is wonderful
we're all living in America
America
America

I know the very useful steps
and I will protect you from missteps
and who does not want to dance at the end
does not know that he must dance

We create a lovely round dance
I will show you the direction
to Africa comes Santa Claus
and in front of Paris stands Mickey Mouse

We're all living in America
America is wonderful
we're all living in America
America
America

We're all living in America
Coca Cola, Wonderbra
we're all living in America
America
America

This is not a love song
this is not a love song
I don't sing my mother tongue
no, this is not a love song

We're all living in America
America is wonderful
we're all living in America
America
America

We're all living in America
Coca Cola, sometimes war
we're all living in America
America
America

The song Moskau (Moscow) features one of the girls from TaTu, singing Russian. Seriously.
(And it's a quite awesome track, IMO)

really? why? i've read that it's not too bad....

i mean, rammstein was never really an "innovative" or even great band, but they're still fun.

Re: New Rammstein?

The boys have a new concert Blu-ray coming out in a director's cut on May 19th. It's called Rammstein: Paris. It was directed by Jonas Akerlund.

The quality looks great and the fast editing didn't bother me at all. I like how they've enhanced certain shots with some light effects and slow motion.

There are a bunch of version slated for release like a DVD, LP, Audio/Blu-ray, etc.

I pre-ordered this one:

Re: New Rammstein?

It'd be nice if the soundtrack was in Atmos. I bet that would sound awesome.
