2017 Spring Simulcasts

Looks like the Spring 2017 season is starting today. It's a great line-up with some blockbuster shows.

https://myanimelist.net/anime/season/2017/spring

I'll be watching:

Attack on Titan: Season 2 - Finally! I can't believe it took them 4 years. This season is going to have some epic battles.

DanMachi: Sword Oratoria - I loved the original DanMachi. And the spin-off manga featuring Loki's girls is excellent.

My Hero Academia: Season 2 - The first season was probably my favorite show last year. This season should be just as good.

Natsume's Book of Friends: Season 6 - I'm a big fan of this show, so I'm always up for another season.

I'm not sure about these other shows, but I'll give them a few episodes:

Ero Manga Sensei
Love Tyrant
Alice & Zouroku
The Eccentric Family: Season 2 - I still have to watch the first season
Sakura Quest

What are you guys gonna watch?

Not sure what I'm going to watch in Spring except for Attack on Titans Season 2.

It would be a nice refresh my memory since the manga is now real far ahead of the beginning of season 2.

Re: 2017 Spring Simulcasts

My favorites this season were:

The Eccentric Family: Season 2
Attack on Titan: Season 2
My Hero Academia: Season 2

AoT and MHA both had some amazing action, and some great storytelling. This season featured my favorite story arcs from those two series.

But I think the best show this season was The Eccentric Family. I really loved that show and I hope it comes back for more. If you haven't seen it yet, and you enjoy slice-of-life stuff, definitely check it out.

I also watched:

DanMachi: Sword Oratoria
Ero Manga Sensei
Akashic Records of Bastard Magical Instructor

I was most disappointed by the DanMachi spinoff. They tried to cram 3-4 long chapters into each episode. Epic battles were blown-off in 5 minutes. Any character development was totally ignored. Too bad, because the manga is really enjoyable.

Akashic Records, like most of the recent magic school shows, seems to just serve as an introduction to get viewers to read the light novels. I hate that. It feels like a waste of time.
