I like that the art style is different from what Telltale seemed to keep recycling over and over again for all their games. I haven't kept up with a lot of the recent games as the formula got a little stale, but I hope this one is good.

It's on sale for PS+ users now, so I pre-ordered it.

Re: Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series

8.5 from IGN - http://www.ign.com/articles/2017/04/...in-blue-review

Guardians of the Galaxy is definitely starting off on the right foot, with a great script, great actors, and a universe packed with personality (and backed by catchy tunes) to explore. If it can continue to deliver the quality of dialogue and panel-perfect action over the course of the rest of the season, it may find itself seated in the upper echelons of Telltale’s catalog. I just hope that now the series has introduced itself, the series gives its environments and characters just a bit more time to breathe in between speeding the plot along.

I liked it. Thought it was cool we got to play as Starkiller and not some side character like other TT games. Was also surprised to hear a good amount of classic licensed songs. That was probably the most expensive part of the games budget

So what kinda of game play are these Telltale games? I know not traditional. What is like choose your own adventure and read a lot of text?

2D... or 3D, depending on your perspective and choose your own adventure and text.

Truthfully, it's not that different than the old click and point adventures like Day of the Tentacle or Full Throttle.
