Re: What Are You Playing? (April 2017)
Finished my first playthrough:
...and, because I'm weird, I actually did just buy a physical copy a week or two back even though I already got it for free on PS+.
Finished:
Finished (endings A-E! and a couple of the jokey ones):
Next up:
I've also been playing a little Breath of the Wild (just leveling up armor) while my wife Overwatch-es, and we dusted off Rock Band Rivals and Game & Wario for the first time in ages the other day.

Still playing Mad Max. I initially enjoyed the game enough that I saw myself going to 100% completion. I don't see that happening any more, as the endless searching for scraps is wearing on me. Everything else, though, I like quite a bit.

Was just starting out on Horizon Zero Dawn and then Persona 5 hit this week. Persona will now soak up my weeknight and weekend hours for the foreseeable future.

Playing Burnout Paradise and just bought Diablo III for X1 ($19.99 @ Gamestop)...when I just 100% the 360 version about 6 months ago. Yeah, I'm a glutton for punishment.

Just Cause 3
- Even with its slow frame rate, wonky driving mechanics and irritating load screens, I'm enjoying this game. Mind you, I'm playing it now instead of when this was first released so that may be the reason I'm not as frustrated.
SWGoH on my phone.

I quit this game in frustration after dying in a boss fight because, for me, I can never seem to get the pause menu to work right to use heals. I tried using both the touchpad and the options button, tried just pressing and holding, and it always seems random whether it brings up the blank pause screen that you can't do anything from or the "quick pause" menu where you can quickly scroll to use items or the full pause menu.
Am I just missing something and there is an easier, more reliable way to heal during a battle? Otherwise fuck this game.

There's a chip you can apply called something like "Auto-use item", so that once your health drops below 30%, you'll automatically use a health item without going into a menu. Even better, a lot of those chips are "Auto-use item + 1", +2, etc., so you'll get bonus health back along with what you'd normally get with that item. Anyway, once that chip's activated, you'll never need to manually use a health pack again. In fact, once you start getting the Auto-heal chips, you'll almost never even need to use health items at all.
I think you might be able to use items with the D-pad, but I never really messed around with that too much. I always kept opening a little sub-menu by accident.
Don't sweat the difficulty. It's actually tougher at first than any other part of the game. Once you start amassing chips, leveling up, getting better weapons, and upgrading your stuff, it's basically a cakewalk after a while. Bosses take longer to finish off, but you'll almost never die or even really be in any danger, at least not on Normal difficulty.

Still playing Ghost Recon: Wildlands... the deeper you get the more engaging and strategic it can become (if you want). Really, really great game.

I hadn't played this since it came out, forget how cheap enemies can be with their high attack damage... and no refill of HP/MP when u level up can be a bitch. but still an awesome game
