You know being so immersed into the gameplay and the characters, you start feeling some type of way and next thing you know a tear flows down your eye?



The only game in the history of video games that got me teary eye was Phantasy Star II. Especially not knowing what the fuck happened in the end. Man did Sega shit on us fans making Phantasy Star III a piece of shit with no relation whatsoever to Phantasy Star II!

The ending to God of War III really bummed me. Castlevania: Lords of Shadows 2 at the beginning when Dracula kills a mom and daughter, that was grim and sad. Neither brought me to tears, but both were pretty damn sad.

Didn't bring me to tears but it did pull on the heart strings - the death of Aeris in FFVII - not just that she died but how she died was brutal.

The ending of Papo & Yo. It was all incredibly heavy handed, and shoved its message down your throat, but the ending had more of an impact than I expected it to. Not quite tears, but enough of a sadness to be noticeable.

I cry easily at movies but no so much at video games.

I will say I shed tears during the middle of Season 1 of The Walking Dead. You know the decision I am talking about.

I also got teary eyed near the end of Red Dead Redemption when he is riding home to his family and the song "Compass" by Jamie Lidell started playing. For some reason, that really touched me. Just the perfect song for that part and hit me in the gut.

This remind me of Jurassic Park for snes which had no save points and I spent hundred of hours and this what I get for finishing it. No tears but pissed off.

This on both counts. For The Last of Us, they did a great job on establishing the bond between Dad and Daughter in just 10 minutes or so.

Heavy Rain was just fantastic. I somehow managed to get an almost perfect ending (the cop died, but everyone else was great). Even so, the game was relentless in its bleakness. I read about the other potential endings. The worst one was just slit-your-wrists-the-world-sucks.
