By FAR the worst Marvel movie to date. And I'm including Ang Lee's Hulk in that statement. Zero plot, all special effects, I have never been so disappointed in a movie since Naked Lunch.

I didn't like Naked Lunch, but this was a lot of fun.

I liked it, but it needed to have more fleshed out everything. Still enjoyable, and even with this effort, it was miles ahead of the Hulks. I'll be picking this one up, and more than likely that steelbook.

i can't even imagine seeing this in 2d, since 3D was so important to the SFX, imho. will definitely be getting the 3D version.

for those who want something special and in 2d only, you may want to check out the big sleeve edition at Zavvi (its region free) -->http://www.zavvi.com/blu-ray/doctor-...dget_id=474446

I haven't been collecting the Marvel steelbooks but that's a mighty nice looking steelbook Best Buy is selling. I'd like to pick it up but I'm not going to pay $29.99 for it when the regular blu will probably be $19.99

Steelbook looks nice, but ever since Best Buy started milking the releases I'll pass.

Nah, Ang Lee's Hulk was far far worse. And btw, the second Hulk movie was arguably one of the best Marvel movies ever. Edward Norton, still hands down the best movie Bruce Banner of all time. Eat that Ruffalo, lol.

Anyway, I do agree that Doctor Strange needed more story, a lot more character and they could have done 1 360 degree of fighting scene and not 20 and I would have been a lot happier.

With that said, I will still be getting this in steelbook since the cover is awesome and much like Daredevil (yes, I have that in an UK Steelbook), I have to get it...it's one of my three favorite superheroes and even though I was disappointed on some level, I would kick myself six months from now for not having it.

However, until I find something to pair it with for free shipping (or Bestbuy changes the pre-order to pick up in store), I'm going to hold off for right now.

Nice looking steelbooks, but I'd need to see them in person. If that was embossed and had some kind of prism effect, it would be badass.

Missed this one in theaters but I've been looking forward to the BR release. Hoping I'll enjoy this one even with the flaws mentioned above.

What the hell is wrong with Best Buy? They can't do anything competently.

Re: Doctor Strange -- 2/28/17

The steelbook pre-orders are back up at Bestbuy. I went ahead and locked mine in for the non-3d version.

I went looking for a companion piece so I didn't have to pay shipping (because store pickup is still not available) and found a title called Band of the Hand which comes out next week, only $6.99. Yes it's Mill Creek, but this is certainly a detour for Mill Creek titles as it includes reversible art and will include subtitles according to the press release on their site. At $6.99 so I can get free shipping, what the heck I'll take a chance as it's an 80's movie and seems like my kind of schlock.

Done and done.

You can also now choose in store pickup for the steelbooks. I just placed an order for the 3D version. That fucker better be cheaper than $35 on release day.

Re: Doctor Strange -- 2/28/17

Damn, the steelbook is still sold out at Best Buy for shipping or local pick up. I was hoping to cancel and re-order using the Visa Checkout promotion. I guess there is a slim chance now of the price dropping below $35 on release day.

Worth a blind buy? I have most of all the Marvel movies though I am getting burned out since they are so long.
