7 Disc Cases in 14mm
Hi everyone, first post, long time lurker. For the past couple of years I have been shrinking my BD/DVD collection to be as thin as possible to save space. I'm very good with Photoshop so I've re-sized hundreds of covers to fit 6mm BD cases and 7mm DVD cases. However I've been dying to shrink my Deep Space Nine and X-Files sets down to 14mm but I just can't find one that will hold 7 discs (6 discs is all I can find).
Any help would be fantastic!

Not sure if this will work, but there might be something else on that site that will -

Anytime case questions come up I give my standard link. http://www.genesysdtp.com/ great prices, fast shipping. I did exactly as you did, OP. Unfortuantely I ran into the same issue that you did. 7 discs in a standard width dvd case is a tough one. I have not found such a creature. I have both titles you specifically mentioned in your post. For x-files, I only had the original dvd release of season 1 which had 7 discs, then the rereleases for the rest of the series that came in single width cases and only had 6 discs. I ended up using a wider 7 disc case for season 1. For DS9, i used the "Ships of the Line" covers from http://www.rixgrafix.com/ which also are designed to put every star trek series season in a 1 inch wide case.

Thanks bobert3 and jjcool, I appreciate your input! JJ, Since X-Files has been released on Netflix in HD (and in 16x9... which I'm watching right now and its awesome!) I may weight for the BD releases (I hope). But DS9 is a different story. Cause TNG didn't sell as well as they hoped it could be a long time before DS9 is released on BD. The Rixgrafix cases aren't that bad! Thanks for the link.

I think the only way you'd be able to fit more than six DVDs into a 14mm case is in a stacker, where the case stores the discs stacked on a spindle.
To my knowledge, such cases have never been manufactured.

Yes, a spindle case (also called "stackable hub") is the only way. There are spindle cases out there (one was used for the eight discs in Six Million Dollar Man Season Four), but the only 14mm one I know of (from SuperMediaStore) only has a six-disc capacity.
The one used for Six Million Dollar Man is a bit thicker than 14mm (I forget the dimensions).
