I paid $1 more for a used copy of Season 1 in June 2008. Never got around to getting the other 2 seasons so I jumped on this deal. The only reason I keep the red card is for deals like this.

They are having a box set sale. They do it a few times a year. I bought the Nicholas Sparks: Limited Edition DVD Collection (7 Discs) back in January for $7.99 from them.

It's sold out now, but this does annoy me considering I ordered it directly from the Target website and paid full s&h charges. I try to avoid doing that whenever possible with a major retailer, but the set was still under $15 shipped and I didn't want to chance it going out of stock (which it did fairly quickly) while I browsed for other deals. I've only shopped with Target about six times in the last decade, so I never bothered with the RedCard.

I'm aware Target lists the same sales on eBay, but it's almost always "Free shipping on orders over $25". I think I even checked eBay before ordering and saw the same disclaimer on their listing for this set. Oh, well... I did go back and order the Gomer Pyle set from eBay w/free shipping this morning. That will make a great Christmas gift for someone. Thanks for the heads up on these deals, bigjim25!

Received mine today from Target. Wonky disc packaging, similar to the Lionsgate Avengers Emma Peel set , except in a clear case here. Haven't opened it, but there's some loose broken plastic floating around in the case.

Even though $11 is dirt cheap, I may consider returning it. Not because of the case, but because I'm trying very hard this year to not blow my media budget. There is still stuff I'm looking to pick up from DD and B&N and SAE that are all higher priorities for me. Plus, at the moment I have a ton of TV material to keep me busy already.

If there are any big fans of the show that want to sell me on keeping the set- please do!

Agreed on the Fugitive set Echo. Even with the issues hindering this new set I finally decided to bite on this series. Hope I end up getting it! Really wish the BBC WWII box was in stock.

I really wasn't in the market for The Fugitive but that price is just too good to pass up! I was a kid when it originally aired and don't recall much about the series other than most grown ups were watching (it came on too late for me to see it) and the promos sounded exciting. Considering I was going to purchase S1V1 for ~$10 a few months back to sample the show I'll gladly sample the entire series for this price - even with the issues and hassle of obtaining replacement discs.

Yes, I have been having that problem off and on all week, even with different browsers. The only way I've gotten around it is log out, add your item to your cart and then go to check out. You can then log in and check out. You can also use an ipad or iphone and that seems to work. Hope that helps.

What are the problems? Is there a replacement program?

I went for The Fugitive set as well. I'm not usually into crime/thriller series, but I'll give it a shot considering how well the show is regarded. I watched a few clips on YouTube first at it seems interesting enough. I'm curious to find out if anyone here has success with the disc replacement program. One person on Amazon claims they called the 877 number and were told by Paramount that they have no info regarding a replacement program for this set.

BTW, I'm none too thrilled about the condition of my other orders from the Target sale. While the B&B set arrived in decent shape (despite a couple tiny bits of broken plastic), the Gomer Pyle set was missing the slipcase and had a big crack on the upper right corner of the case. I also ordered the Halloween: Deluxe Edition Blu-ray set and the front cover had deep scratch/scribble marks all over it. I'll be returning that one for a refund. Since I paid with PayPal, I'll need to drive twenty miles to the nearest Target store if I want a cash refund instead of a stupid gift card (which is the only refund option they give you if you choose to ship it back).

Yeah, I will be curious to hear as well. I ordered this set for my Dad not knowing about the disc issues. I don't really know if I should try to call the replacement line yet or wait until I actually have the set in hand.

There's a thread over at HTF that has quite a bit of information regarding the new set. I haven't read up on the past few days, and was surprised regarding the disk replacement notice.

I don't know if it is worth all the trouble for 20 bucks. Some people there are reporting having issues even with the replacement discs or doing returns two or three times.

What the fuck happened to quality control nowadays? I can't imagine all this is costing CBS.

Based on posts before/after that one I got the impression this person was talking about the *new* set and not the "Most Wanted" set replacement program. From what I've read on that thread this entire series has been plagued from the start with music issues and disc replacements. It's amazing anyone gets "good" discs at all with all the various replacement programs running!

I've really been interested in getting the series for some time and for a long while I've closely followed the HTF thread. The Most Wanted Collection seems to be the best way to go, but for $20 the new set seems like a real steal. Yes, it definitely seems like some people at CBS have definitely dropped the ball on both sets.
