What's the last book you bought?

Not a repeat thread hopefully, search found nothing in last year+ at least.

Devotions for Sacred Parenting - Amazon, ~$8 shipped used

Big fan of the similar book from same author on marriage, hopefully this book has equally good tips on parenting.

Re: What's the last book you bought?

My goodness. If I were to post here all the books I buy...

... maybe it would shame me into upping my reading schedule!

My early resolution for 2014 is to list all of my unread novels and endeavour to work my way through them, commenting as I go along.

I have a marked sense of déjà vu about this aspiration, however!

I haven't played games in years, but I was a big FF fan back in the day, and holy crap does that look cool!

I thought it was only a single book when I ordered it. The set is massive and weighs a ton. It's an amazing set for FF fans and I couldn't recommend it more. The books are broken down by game and go up to FF10. I really wish 12 was included though. That was one of my favorites.

Edit to add that I'm not sure where the pic is from. The one I ordered didn't include the book about Yoshi or the art cells shown laying down. It was just the three hardcover books in the case, which itself is damn nice.

It's my first Murakami novel so I figured I would start with his first.

Both from the author of Project Nemesis, which I'm currently on. The world needs more giant monster novels.

Re: What's the last book you bought?

I don't by new hardcovers very often, but tough to pass up the handsome editions the folks at Subterranean Press continually produce. This arrived yesterday:

Re: What's the last book you bought?

That would be Matthew Pearl's "The Technologists". It's good but I still think that "Dante's Club" was absolutely the best.

Just yesterday. It was this novel about love and loss by David Grossman, called 'Falling Out of Time'.

Re: What's the last book you bought?

- Harry Potter Page to Screen: The Complete Filmmaking Journey (Collector's Edition)

I grabbed this for $129.99 (lightning deal + applied another book promo code for $10 off, which lowered the price from $129.99 to $119.99, add tax and I was all in for $129.99).
