I love that some of the titles the dvd and blu-ray versions have the same price.

Re: foxconnect.com BF Sale

Wow, some of these prices are insane. And here I thought I had already given Fox all I was going to this year.

What the hell is up with Get the Gringo's prices? Both look to be Blu ray/digital copy/DVD, but one is $4.99 and the other is $18.99. Only difference looks to be the more expensive one has a slipcover. Great deals though, thanks for the heads up. I'll have to see what else I can pick up.

Re: foxconnect.com BF Sale

Can I give a 'Like' for this thread? For myself, this is the first true Black Friday sale where almost all titles are truly discounted!

Thanks!

The pictures aren't always indicative of the actual product (so because one has a slipcover and the other doesn't mean it comes with one).

I noticed during the 50% off sale they have some titles throughout the website listed twice, and some with higher prices. My guess is these might be with Hollywood Movie Money attached to the cellophane (resulting in a new SKU - so it's not discounted) or may be a reissue with different cover art (which was the case with Home Alone 2 which I got).

Basically, just always go for the one with the lower price. It's the same disc.

Re: foxconnect.com BF Sale

Yeah, I figured the pictures didn't really reflect the product, but I found it weird the prices were like that. Also, I noticed their filters are a bit wonky. Filter for Movies only, then blu and you get one list. The same with TV. Then filter "View All" then blu and you get stuff on there that wasn't on the Movies and TV lists.

The 3D prices leave a lot to be desired though, which sucks. But since no one really buys them I guess they're not as concerned about those.

Re: foxconnect.com BF Sale

Yeah, I found it easier to just view all and filter by the format type. Those tend to list all of them but there may be a few strays out there. Some titles have "The" attached to the beginning of the actual title (i.e. Bones: Season 8 is listed as The Bones: Season 8 ) so it can be hit or miss.

The 3D prices were decent during the 50% off sale, averaging about $12-$15 a piece. I was surprised to not see any included this go-round.

No idea what their product organization is like...I keep seeing the same movies repeat on different pages while the list goes on and on

Re: foxconnect.com BF Sale

I've been looking at the pages by viewing 64/page. I'm noticing stuff like Louie Season 1 as the dual format set, then on another list as blu only. Then movies like The Raven are popping up on one, then gone from another. Maybe they're updating and adding more titles.

Re: foxconnect.com BF Sale

Just use the Black Friday link and blu-ray format. Those are the ones that have good to great price.

Good sale. Too bad I cleared out my want list on their recent 50% off sale. Couldn't find anything.

I've got one more order that I "might" make of AHS S1 and Bones S7, so I was looking at stuff I might add on. Is the Raven any good? There are a few BDs I was thinking of getting but they are 4.99-5.99 and those prices will probably show up again. I just stocked up on TV sets that are NEVER this cheap and BF is just getting started. (Though I did buy Killing Lincoln).

I was hoping Newhart would be 5.99. I got cheap and passed on it during the 50% sale. I'm sure it will be on sale sometime in the future. Pissed I forgot about Ret to the Planet of the Apes during the 50% sale and was hoping it would make this sale, but no go.

Bob's Burgers: Season 1 $5.99
Lie to Me: Season 1 $5.99
Leverage Season 4 $5.99
Leverage Season 5 $5.99
Killing Lincoln $4.99
It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia Season 7 $5.99
The League Season 3 $5.99
Futurama: Bender's Game $1.99
Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder $1.99
Goosebumps: One Day at HorrorLand $1.99 (Blind bought these b/c I heard they are good. Probably regret it)
Goosebumps: The Headless Ghost $1.99
Goosebumps: The Blob That Ate Everyone $1.99
Goosebumps: Attack of the Jack-O-Lanterns $1.99
Goosebumps: Go Eat Worms! $1.99
Goosebumps: The Scarecrow Walks at Midnight $1.99
Family Guy: Blue Harvest $1.99
Family Guy: It's A Trap! $1.99
Futurama The Movie: Bender's Big Score $1.99
Family Guy Presents: Something, Something, Something Dark Side $1.99
Family Guy Volume 7 $5.99
Family Guy Volume 8 $5.99
Family Guy Volume 9 $5.99
Family Guy Volume 10 $5.99
My Name Is Earl: Season 4 $5.99
White Collar: Season 3 $5.99
Teen Wolf Season 2 $5.99
The Glades Season 1 $5.99
The Glades Season 2 $5.99

Re: foxconnect.com BF Sale

Jeebus Henry Cribbs. Do I pull the trigger and get the remaining X-Files Seasons I need (and replace the clunky box sets) at 5.99 each, or wait for the "rumored" blu ray release. I have never seen the actual rumor, only references to it on message boards.

Re: foxconnect.com BF Sale

To everyone who bought the $1.99 Futurama movies, you are welcome. It's that price now because I bought them at the 50% off event last week.

$5.99/each you can't really go wrong if a Blu-ray release comes out. You could easily sell them for what you paid during this sale.

Seasons One through Six of the X-Files are safe blind buys, if people want to save a little expense.

Re: foxconnect.com BF Sale

A lot of better prices than the 50% off coupon sale...

Wanted to grab the In Living Color sets, but those aren't part of the sale.
