Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened
The 16th Pokémon movie coming to Cartoon Network on October 19th. Don't be surprised if we see a DVD release (likely Viz Media with the given tread from the last couple years) sometime in the first half of 2014.

This is the first I've heard of this. Thanks for the info. It looks like they come to New York for this one. I'm psyched!

This movie played on Cartoon Network yesterday.
It's set in Manhattan!
They build something called Pokémon Hills right in the middle of Central Park:
There's even a shot of Times Square:
...but with Japanese lettering on the signs!
Good movie, much better than last year's movie.
The great thing about it is...MewTwo's back!
...seen here with his opponent in the movie, Red Genesect.

@ Ash Ketchum, just in case you missed this. Pretty much a simultaneous release as Japan (a bit earlier than Japan to be exact).

Re: Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened
That trailer has quite a few shots that aren't in the movie, at least the cut being shown in the U.S. (I watched both the DVD and the Cartoon Network broadcast of the film.) Any shot you see of the Genesects attacking against daytime Manhattan backdrops is not in the movie. I'm wondering if these shots were in the Japanese version (coming out next week, according to my local Japanese video store) or were created for the trailer. Either way, I'm annoyed that those scenes aren't in the movie.
