Not a bad price for Oz (if you liked it) when you use the coupon from this thread, making it $12.96

Not sure how it will shakeout price-wise, but apparently in the Oz blus there's an insert to buy the other disc (that the combos would normally come with, but aren't for Oz) for $5.99. So for the 2D BD, DVD, and DC set, you can buy the 3D disc for $5.99. In the 3D with DC set, you can buy the 2D blu for $5.99.

i think disney felt that too many people were scalping discs, be it the 2d or the 3d, out of combo sets, and did this as a way to discourage it in the future. allowing people to buy the 3d disc after getting the 2d retail version would DECIMATE the value of the 3D package, so i HIGHLY doubt that this goes BOTH ways. i'll find out in a few days when my 2d package comes in.

i know for a fact that the 3d edition has the coupon (TIED IN THROUGH DISNEY MOVIE REWARDS CODE), as i've had a copy in my hands before sending it out to another reviewer, but i had not yet heard that the 2d retail version, either of them, have this possibility.

entered my code, there is nothing popping up yet concerning the disc. it may be locked until street date, or it may be something that takes a bit and is emailed to you as an offer.

I've gotten some discs with Ultraviolet codes before street date that won't let you enter them until the street date- don't see the need for them anyway, but since there's no charge I've figured to let all my eligible discs show up on Vudu for the hell of it.

The only reason I have bunch of 3D titles is because they came in combo packs. Those "Free" 3D titles are a good way for consumers to consider upgrading to 3D TVs.
Since 3D TV has not really caught on as expected - why would Disney do a separate package it beyond me. May be someday all those unsold 3D package will be available on clearence
Disney ( and others ) starting bundling BD + DVD to encourage people to switch to BD. (same logic)

Good luck finding these steelbooks in mint condition. Most Walmarts have put them out by now and it was hard finding a single case that hadn't been badly bent in the assortment.

The Incredible Hulk is the only Avenger-superhero movie I don't yet own and haven't yet seen, $9.96 for the BD/DVD/DC steelbook isn't a bad deal, may have to pick it up for that.

From what I hear, Oz 2D BD will be $19.96 before $7 MQ at Walmart and sending away for the 3D BD from Disney will cost $5.99 with $0 S&H. That's an acceptable deal for me for the 2D + 3D BDs, so while I had planned to keep my wallet shut, if this is in fact the deal it will re-open for Oz.

Buy the 3D and send away for the 2D for $6 plus s&h.

Re: Walmart Ad 6/9-6/15/2013
There are unboxing videos on YouTube and the one I just watched clearly shows a 3D offer include in the BD/DVD/DC combo.
Between Wal-Mart's pricing and the $7 coupon (both of which only specifically show the BD/DVD/DC edition) you'd be foolish to actually buy the 3D SKU unless you're hell-bent on watching it in 3D on day 1. There's like a 1% chance my DVD copy will ever be used but even so you're actually saving money and ending up with a DVD.
This is my path to an Oz super savings extravaganza:
Target price: $27.99
Wal-Mart ad price match: -$8.03
Scott's coupon -$7
Free Target gift card via Shopkick: -$2
3D disc: $5.99
Total: $16.95
Even if there is a s+h fee on the 3D disc it's still extremely cheap by Disney release standards.

No problem with Walmart this morning and the Disney coupon. I just ordered the 3D Blu-ray from DMR and there was no shipping charge added to the order...

Re: Walmart Ad 6/9-6/15/2013
The ad scan shows the OZ BLU/DVD combo being 19.99, but shelf tags this morning said 29.99. Does this combo scan at 19.99? Or just the BLU/DIGITAL pack? I'm wondering if anyone would have luck price matching this based on the ad image and using the $7 coupon? I didn't try it at Walmart this morning becuase I didn't have time.

In my local store's video department, the shelf was labeled at $19.96 and the set (and coupon) rung up with zero problems. $12.96 + tax and then the $5.99 for the 3D disc has turned a botched release (IMO) into a great deal.
Also - really like the new way of handling digital copies!
