What is your favorite Tim Burton/Johnny Depp collaboration?

Rumor (well, IMDB rumor anyway) has it that Burton will be directing Johnny Depp in Dark Shadows. That should be interesting, even though I had no use for the show.

I really like Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, although I've really started liking Edward Scissorhands recently. I saw it during its theatrical run and wasn't impressed, but after watching it several times on HBO, I've changed my mind. Maybe because it's been 18 (!) years.

Sweeney Todd and Sleepy Hollow were both pretty good. I didn't like Ed Wood. Never saw Corpse Bride.

I really dig Sleepy Hollow and Edward Scissorhands. Both have their flaws but are wonderful little fairy tale-ish films.

But Ed Wood is a pretty remarkable little film, easily Burton's best.

Corpse Bride, Sweeney Todd and Charlie are pretty lacking IMO (but I love the wicked opening credit sequence for Charlie)

I searched, but found nothing except a general Johnny Depp poll.

Sleepy Hollow.

I never really liked Ed Wood much, Martin Landau's bravua performance notwithstanding.

Edward Scissorhands. It's been one of my favorites since I was a kid. Plus, it's Vincent Price's last performance. Close second would be Ed Wood.

I had to go with Ed Wood. I just adore that movie. I'm surprised to say that I would probably place Sweeney Todd in the second position.

I'm in the minority I suppose, voting Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I really wasn't looking forward to seeing that movie, but Depp's portrayal of Wonka was great. I'm also a fan of Edward Scissorhands and from the previous posts, I guess I should check out Ed Wood sometime.

Sleepy Hollow. Anything after that just didn't appeal to me.

I ended up going with Edward Scissorhands. The 'ice dance' scene with Elfman's amazing score playing give's me chills every time.

Sleepy Hollow would be my runner up. Still haven't seen Sweeny Todd or Ed Wood though.

This was easy for me, since I disliked all the movies EXCEPT Ed Wood.

Ed Wood! I watch it and Young Frankenstein around Halloween every year. As many of y'all said (or implied), it really is a perfect little film - in my book, at least.
