Re: Breaking Bad -- season finale -- "Face Off" -- 10/9/11
After 5 seasons, I finally decide to give this show a chance. What a ride the last 2 weeks watch season 1-4. Walt is really an evil selfish asshole. I think Jesse will come out alive when the show is over.

Looking back at old threads while I rewatch/skim the series. But holy shit was this one off the mark.

For fuck's sake man, think. Jesse said it was something that isn't deadly, just something that gets you sick. Even if Walt told Jesse he did it (the only way Jesse could find out), why would Jesse turn on him after knowing there was no threat of Brock dying? If Jesse can't kill Walt when he's full of rage and has a gun pointed at his head thinking Walt tried to kill Brock, he's not going to do it at all.

I'm kind of tired of talking about ricin. They've really bled a lot out of it's existence.

Re: Breaking Bad -- season finale -- "Face Off" -- 10/9/11
I just started watching Breaking Bad as I got the whole series on BluRay for Christmas, and this show has lived up to all the hype that my friends have been saying for the past few years.
I think Season 4 was the best so far (I am starting Season 5 next weekend), as the last few episodes of that season are about as good as TV Drama's can get.
I'm so mad I missed this show in its initial run because I enjoy talking about each episode with friends and co-workers on Monday, but for some reason this one slipped through the cracks on me.
Ready for the final 2 seasons!

Not looking for something about the finale as I am currently watching the show marathon style. Just a technical question:
-Did they make two versions of this show, as in one for the network and a harder version for video? I watched the first season and saw bare female breasts and heard the F-bomb dropped. I figure they either have an alternate version or they blurred/bleeped when aired.

From what I remember, the strip club scene had the strippers wearing pasties when shown on television, and the "fuck"s are censored on television, too. The blu-ray has nipples and uncensored f-bombs.

Just finished watching season 4 again on Bluray and man this particular episode might be one of my fav episodes of TV ever
I am about to rewatch Season 5 but i think Season 4 is the strongest for BB by a hair because of Gus Fring

Here's a question
Most people are saying that Tio Salamunca had to ring his bell so many times because Walt's pipe bomb was a bit tempermental. I think Walt rigged it that way that it required X number of rings. Between Walt setting up the bomb and Gus visiting, Tio might well have had to use his bell if any nurses came in etc so he needed to be able to ring once or twice without the bomb going off
Another great thing about season 4 is how they credibly took Mike out of the action and gave enough screen time to his asshole replacement so you enjoyed him getting blown up as well.

I'm re-watching the entire series, and after this episode I'm angry all over again that Mark Margolis didn't win the Emmy for his portrayal of Tio Salamanca. The emotion he conveyed, without speaking, is just incredible. Acting!!!
