It was announced today that GameCube would come out Nov. 5th, 3 days before X-Box. No price information given though. Here is the story...

I think the announcement is great! It means there's going to be a better chance I can pick up an Xbox on Nov. 8! Of course, I'll still probably pick up a GameCube for the Nintendo franchises I love so much, but that'll probably be a sometime-in-2002 purchase for me.

Say what you want about MS, but it appears they've done their homework and created an incredibly powerful, developer friendly, ultimately-online gaming machine--AND lined up stellar developers to boot. And if that turns you off because of a MS logo on the machine, then I'm sure there's a PS2 somewhere out there with your name on it.

What is probably going to turn me off about the Xbox is not the MS logo, but the price tag.

For all the hype about XBox, I still haven't seen any games that justify buying the system.

I already have a PS2 and I'll get a GameCube for Nintendo / Rare titles. (probably the same situation as most gamers)

What XBox games are worth buying a $300 system to play?
ie. decent games that won't be available on other consoles or PC?

All it took to convince me was Sega's Panzer Dragoon. Never thought I'd see another game in that series on any console/PC.
