The razzies would be a better joke award if they didn't always stick something in there that just shouldn't be there, or be so obvious in showing their spite for specific people.

I mean, George W Bush for worst actor? Does that even make sense? I know everyone likes to get in some Bush bashing, but at least make a little sense. There's enough bad performances out there in film land that we don't need silly political bashing in our worst of awards.

I hope Fahrenheit sweeps every category it has!

That said, I hope the big prized goes to "Alexander."

This is all they have left to resort to so let them get in their little cheap shots. Hollywood is like little bitter grade school kids. If these awards made any sense at all, Moore & Farenheit would get the nods, since the only reason it was made was to de-rail the election & look how well that turned out.

Massive fucking agreement.

The Razzies at this point seem like they're run by bitter basement-dwelling internet film "fans" who rather judge people based on popularity rather than the content of their films. Lame.

I can't go with Angelina Jolie. Any actress as hot as her that is willing to get naked in EVERY movie she is in, is okay in my book.

Okay, it was kinda funny when George W. Bush won that British webpoll for Best Villian, but I think this is taking it a little far, especially when Anacondas got off scot free in the acting department.

Some of the awards are kinda funny, but some of them left me scratching me head. I don't know why Stiller was nominated for all of those (he should have been nominated for Envy but that was it), and the Razzies are really overlooking a few terrible movies this year (I mean come on Christmas With the Kranks got ZERO nominations).

People are calling the Razzies pathetic? The Razzies are meant to poke fun at Hollywood, not be a serious award ceremony.

"Oh no, how dare they call George W. Bush the worst actor!"

Boo hoo. It's meant to be funny, not serious. Does anything amuse you people!??!

FWIW, Roger&Me was made as an attempt to affect the CEO of GM and to try and help the area of Flint,Michigan. Needless to say that didn't go as planned either, but it doesn't make it any lesser of a movie. The same can be said for Fahrenheit 9/11. Unless you just think Moore is a jerk to begin with and that everything he does is crap, one cannot deny the movie was well made.

I don't deny that the thing is well made, thousands if not millions of people who don't know better actually believed the thing, but whether people want to admit it or not the sole reason that film was made was to hurt the Bush campaign which it did not, thus it ultimately failed. The film failed, Moore did not, he made millions off of the uneducated.

Yeah, but the Razzies aren't throwing the anti-Bush stuff in there to be cute or funny, the man is president for 4 years, move on, they are still making the same redundant pre-election jabs attempting to influence people that don't know better.

In terms of accomplishing what it wanted to do, yes, it failed. Bush is still in the White House, and Moore is now tracking down pharmaceutical companies. Interesting that probably the two works for which Moore will be remembered the most, Roger and Me and Fahrenheit 9/11, did not accomplish the task for which they were made.

Uhhhh, somehow I have a feeling that he'll be remembered more for BfC than Roger and Me...

But I agree that the accomplishment of its goal matters little: it was a well made film, and without it the election would have been much more in Bush's favor.
