The Hunted(1995), The Yakuza, Shogun(TV mini-series that was later released theatrically), Rising Sun, Into the Sun(Segal DTV), The Challenge(not available in Region 1)

It should be noted that while that is indeed set in Japan, it was actually filmed in Oregon. Go figure.

I found it very odd that The Grudge (previously mentioned) was set in Japan as it was a remake of a Japanese movie, which made it even more pointless!

Ah ok, thanks for the head's up. I saw it when it first came out so I remembered it as Japan as opposed to an LA neighborhood that's a Japantown.
